NITZER EBB – Industrial Complex (special Belgian edition) CD

Out on January 22nd 2010 is the newest album from NITZER EBB…

"Industrial Complex” is the band's 6th studio album to date, once again produced by Flood (EDITORS, DEPECHE MODE, ...) and featuring guest vocals by DEPECHE MODE's songwriter Martin L. Gore on the song “Once You Say”.
This special “Belgian” edition released by Alfa Matrix will feature a bunch of exclusive remixes not available on any other version of “Industrial Complex”.

On “Industrial Complex”, Douglas McCarthy and Bon Harris go back to their roots and mix NITZER EBB’s own sound signature made of pounding bass rhythms, upbeat electro sequences and menacing vocals, with a more mature song-writing approach injecting infectious and almost pop rock melodic elements.
Intense, powerful, straight and catchy, this new album presents the band’s many new hits including “Promises”, “Once You Say”, “Payroll” or yet “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”.

And the good news continues, the band will not only be performing in Europe their own headliner shows, but they have also been selected (once again!!) as the opening act for the January/Feb. European dates of DEPECHE MODE's Tour of the Universe in 2010. Past meets present, present meets past.

The legendary Belgian Electro-act Signal Aout 42 is renowned for more than hard beats, monotonous warbling bass and standard club-sounds: the music is an intense and atmospheric trip to the dark side of humanity. Massive analog sounds, hypnotic tribal rhythms, thudding EBM beats and the raw deep voice of Jacky Meurisse meld to epic tracks in an electronic sound spectacular that sounds like the sonic adaptation of a collaboration between H.P. Lovecraft and David Lynch. The creative approach to sound design, the soundtrackesque and overwhelming synthesizer pads are combined to monumental sonic constructs with memorable melodies and cunningly dosed beat infernos to result in music that easily surpasses the standard approaches common to the alternative club scene. There is an electronic life apart from the preset sounds that the scene seems to revel in, these days. It is almost ironic that a veteran of electronic music has to go to show the young creative heads of today how to turn an electronic album into an adventure again.

In times where every band that puts together tracks using a standard sound module and vocal distortion in their bedroom is hyped as the new hope in the “Harsh Electro” or “Dark Electro” genre, an album like “Skull And Bones” feels like a cleansing shock. Belgian legend Vomito Negro, who have been active since the mid Eighties, still celebrate their sound with an intensity, creativity and passion that makes most recent hard Electro projects sound like a weekend trip to Disneyland. The spirit of “Skull And Bones” is of the deepest black… no hope, no mercy! Rhythmic loops are thudding relentlessly under dark sound scapes and the heavily manipulated shouts leave no room for sunny feelings. The fascination of evil. There are few bands that manage to adapt the most extreme sides of human behaviour to club-compatible electronic sounds as effectively as Suicide Commando, the evil musical brainchild of Belgian Hard-Electro-legend Johan van Roy. On his newest long player “Implements Of Hell”, he effectively pulls out all the stops of a career spanning more than two decades to send the listener on a rollercoaster ride through all the hellish ingredients that make for the sonic phenomenon known as Suicide Commando. Lashing Aggro-Dance-tracks like the single “Die Motherfucker Die” alternate with heavy, dark and rhythmic synthesizer monsters that are not only a massive modern-day reminiscence of the early works of the band but that also make “Implements Of Hell” the darkest excess from Suicide Commando, ever, and the most menacing dance album of the last few years. Had Charles Manson been wreaking havoc in the Techno-age, his music would probably have sounded like this. The killer is striking terror into people’s hearts on the dance floor … and you, sure as hell, won’t be able to escape him this time!
